An inspiring read, a 21st-century cycling odyssey down the Dark Continent by a man who bravely admits to being afraid of the dark. The horrors he encounters in a few evil individuals, the Kafkaesque corruption by border officials and the misfortune of befriending a truly hopeless "Amic" (Hey, we're not all like that, Tadeáš!) are offset by moments of euphoria and introspection only experienced by solitary, exhausted pilgrims to nowhere. Should be recommended reading in schools.
