Partisan media and modern censorship přehled

In worldwide political science it is openly stated that “the development [of] media resulted in creation of conditions for mediated imposing of ideological messages on practical k contexts of everyday life” (Thompson 2004, 169) But in the Czech reality of the 1990s, these factors (modern censorship, rigging of information and the problem of predominant favouritism of certain parties and partisan ideologies) were not subjects of proper research in most media. Citizens are not burdened by the information about implementation of elements of modern censorship and partisan nature of media, perhaps in order to prevent the already widespread scepticism toward politics from evolving into a mismatch with the integrity of media market, thus reinforcing mistrust towards the media influence. The author’s intention is not to elaborate on such important and extensive topic in an exhaustive manner. He specifies his contribution as an introduction to the field of research of the ignored problem: a contribution to the research of the exceptional problem of media partisanship and modern censorship, issues which deserve our attention, and a contribution which offers wide space for further research. It suggests possibilities for those who decide to engage in this topic. It poses pressing questions and seeks answers using the documents and data available.... celý text
