Raymond Benson (narozen 6.9.1955) je americký spisovatel a skladatel nejznámější svojí serií románů o Jamesi Bondovi. Narodil se v Midlandu v Texasu a graduoval na Permian High School v Odesse v roce 1973 a dokončil vzděláni na University of Texas v Austinu. Dalšími koníčky zahrnují filmovou historii a kritiku, psaní a navrhování počítačových her. Používal rovněž pseudonym David Michaels.
